One thing for certain, your bikes are very classy!

Major style points.

I rode a Sam Hillborne this summer for a few days, and I grew quite attached to the bike.

I'm the old guy in front. The stoker is my son, the passenger my grand daughter. The bike is my 1964 Schwinn Twinn.

Loved that bike, although those 180 crank arms damn near killed me.

Taken at the end of a Bangkok to Chiangmai ride along with the Thai national team.

I'm not not trying to be preachy but my immediate reaction was that it would be shame if such beauty was compromised in a crash, simply because she wasn't wearing a helmet.

1999 Schwinn Paramount, built by Match cycle in Woodinville, WA. Pretty much everything I ever wanted in a bike. Bought the frame/fork with the crankset and brakes for $900 from a friend, and then finished out the rest using my tax return last year.

Phil Wood Ti BB
Dura Ace 7400 crank (175mm, 53-39)
Dura Ace 7700 Derailleurs
Dura Ace 7800 Shifters
Dura Ace 7700 Brakes
Dur Ace 1" Threaded headset
TTT stem
Brooks Swallow saddle
Aksium Wheelset w/ Ultegra 11-28 cassette, and Dura Ace 7800 chain

Reynolds 853 steel is awesome to ride on. When I first rode this after having ridden my old Cannondale Synapse for 3 years, it was weird - I wasn't used to the flex from cranking. But once you get into a good cadence, the frame almost helps your feet along. It's a strange sensation, but I've been able to crank faster and attain higher peak speeds with a heavier bike, because it is so forgiving.

Here are some recent restorations that I have done. The Paris Sport was converted into the townie. The CILO will be my road bike once the snow melts (unfortunately, I don't pictures pre-restoration). The mountain bike is a Scott. All were powdercoated. For the CILO I found replacement decals on EBAY and made a few discrete changes to the drivetrain. Enjoy!
