Neat racing picture! You look spent.

This one is mine. Not on a C&V but still a steel bike. 50-mile road race and I finished comfortably mid-pack. I jumped the group I was in because I knew where my wife was taking pictures (that's why I am "alone"). It took a great deal of effort on my part to get free and I paid for it. I almost got dropped soon after this pic. I was lucky enough to hang on the back until i recovered from my "break".

The pack behind

Agreed! Plus, he can always claim he didn't get beaten by you, per se, but by his own mistake (why is he hitting his brakes while sprinting?)

Great period shot - thanks for sharing!

Good to see we are reviving the thread for the newest members

Going back into the archives myself...

That 70's Show:

I'm on the far right with my Schwinn Apple Krate. I learned how to ride on the purple JC Penney bike in the center of the photo.

STP 2003, first double century - 218 miles in one sitting:

Yes, that's the 2002 Davidson I'm currently converting to Campy 8-speed

Bellingham Ski To Sea multisport race, April 2002 (Team Salmon, Broads & Beer):

Yep, there's that Davidson again...

Diego Garcia Cycling Club farewell photograph:

I served as the club president for about 9 months of my one-year tour of duty. I'm in the front row, third from left in the blue/white helmet.

Good times...

August 2011 - Indiana Prairie with my 1972 Paramount P15-9 - Wearing one of my old 3XL t-shirts and a test-seat that got shelved that same day. What was I thinking? I'm switching back to the Brooks professional saddles.

Since this is the c&v forum, here's a shot of me taking my 24 year old for her first bike ride in '88. Riding an '84 Trek 520.

Here's a recent shot of myself with her 21 year old sister. (I'm the old fat guy)

And I'll post this shot, just because I find it funny that she couldn't get over a garden hose on a mountain bike, getting out of the driveway:

I used to work in the Nuclear business. I kept some of the hard hats that had the best stickers and such! Like the bikes, there are other hard hats! T-sheets and ball caps, too!

I figured something like that - I have a pretty extensive Navy Command ball-cap collection, myself
