Trying out my new bar tape and breaking in a fresh new pair of kicks... I had to add some cheetah feel to them as they were too plain.

That looks a little tight getting in and out with a bike, Mike, but wow, your own private spiral staircase leading right to your door? Who can beat that?

I don't ride much when there's ice down, but if it's borderline there might be ice on the steps first thing in the morning (my girlfriend's old place had stairs like these). Yikes! Back to Vancouver soon, so regular stairs and ice as a relatively uncommon condition are in my future...

This is me, last week, with my "downtown bike," a 1972 Raleigh Sports
"Standard," made in Malaysia.
Our office moved to downtown Norfolk (Virginia) six months
ago and the downtown council selected me for an ad series
called "downtown works for me." For the photo shoot I didn't have
to insist too hard that the bike be in every shot. The photographer,
Echard Wheeler, loved the bike, had ridden the Transamerica
trail not too long ago and was jealous we were doing the GAP/
C&O this coming spring. He totally 'got' the bike, which
was cool.
That's our new light rail, The Tide, over my shoulder, coming
toward me.

On the Santa Ana River Trail heading East. First ride on my Vintage Centurion. Went up to Mt. Rubidoux.
Some views from the trail.

OK, these pictures may not exactly qualify for this sub-forum....the C559 is not a classic (yet)...BUT I am certainly vintage and I do own a C&V bike...so here it goes!

No bike, but I was riding my BF/JYB c85 Gianni Motta on this century ride on the Chief Ladiga/Silver Comet trail.
This pic was taken at the AL/GA state line.
I'm the short one next to the 6'5" guy.
This was Phil's first century. Now to get him an old bike.

^ I like how the pics are now in the daylight - temps must've dropped a little, huh?
Wonder what to expect down Austin way a couple days after Christmas when I visit my sis
