That is a 1986 Tommasini Prestige, my last build project to date. Great riding bike, very precise and taught feeling.

I don't have many pics of me with/on the bike...I've got these two from nearly 2 yrs ago with the Hardrock, a pic of me & my son (Ry) taking a break on the playground from riding, and a FB profile pic since the others aren't that great lol. I should get Ry to snap some pics next time...Of course I have tons of him riding though!

ETA - Wow...BF didn't resize them this time! Sorry!

^^^ Ry looks really happy to be riding, won't be too much longer before he will need a balance bike, then its on to building his first C&V project.

Haha, yeah, though it's unintentional how thin I am now. Over the last 6 months I've been working from home, which means that I frequently don't eat enough breakfast and eat a very light lunch. I hate spending time preparing food for myself, and I'm not as sensitive as most people to hunger cues. During that same 6 months I've stepped up my riding, a lot. And I stopped going to the gym (let the membership lapse), so no upper body work. I'm about 10# down from where I like to be. I've gone from being the skinny guy to the really skinny guy.

If not for those exceptionally long legs of yours, that frame would appear to be too large...(wink, wink)

"Too large" he says!

Why, sometimes in the middle of the day it feels positively cramped.

Nice bikes Ron, you should post another pic with that Competition GS in front for gawking purposes. Not sure, but the Vitus' gearing looks like a straight block, is she handling those big gears alright? I have no idea if your area is flat or hilly, so please excuse the question. @Drillium Dude is a hard core straight block rider, I don't see how he rides them in the PNW. I prefer them, but its fairly flat here on the Central Gulf Coast, save some rollers and a few stream cut downs that made for a little topography here.

Thanks Bill, but gawking over this old horse? I dunno. It's my rider and looks it.

I got the bare frame in about 1985 from a friend. Rebuilt it about 4 years ago with all Suntour Superbe, close to period correct. Anyone wanna trade a decent 27.2 Superbe seatpost for my Dura Ace? (even up).

And yes, my tire sock is held on by a piece of rope. I forgot to bring the toe clip strap I usually use. Really.

My solution to hold on the bar mounted bottle cage. I turned that little bar and let the natural spring tension do the rest.

No gripes about dirt please!

One of the best things about Booty is that she's not a whiner. She manages but I know she needs shorter gears. I have a few larger freewheels that I'll choose from and install. Also a shorter stem - I have one, but want to polish and re-anodize it.

I'd gawk at most any Roadie, its a defect I carry around proudly. Straight block woman, and not a whiner, wow hang on toe her.

BTW, Monica and I went to school and church with a girl with the same nickname.

My son sees me getting ready for a road ride, wearing my yellow hi-viz jersey. He says "You look like a highlighter with a gut."

Shelley (Booty) pops out from behind me in her orange hi-viz. She says "And I'm a highlighter with a butt!"

Gotta love a woman with a sense of humor.

(actually neither my gut nor her butt are that big).
