na, i could never sell her though, it came with old school '80s LOOK clipless (i will put those back on as soon as i can afford the shoes for them), so far i have replaced the chain, reewheel, cables, brakes were fine, and next is bearing overhaul(they are all really smooth but i do not know when they were last done so yea..) but this is my first real bike and i do a good 20 miles every day after school, so much fun to ride

So what caliber gun were you holding to the guys head when he agreed to sell that to you for $50.
WOW! I estimate that bike is easily worth 5 times what you paid. But the good news is it fell into someone's hands who appreciates what it's all about. Good luck with it.

But it looks nothing like this right now BTW, here is an add for the '87 Miami Vice Centurion, in case you want to restore it:

Nice Bike! You may have some luck softening the sticker with a hair dryer so you can peel it off: WD40 should remove the gum ~

Yeah. That's how they came. I am doing mine with a white tape and saddle and housing, but there are a few curveballs thrown into the equation

You can get an RD-1050 (105 rear derailleur that was stock on those) for $10 on ebay. But I would not sweat it. The 600 tricolor was better. Mine came totally upgraded with 600 tricolor FD, RD, shifters and Dura Ace crank. The brakeset was the original 1050 105, but I upgraded the brakes to 600 tricolor and the levers to dual pivot 1055 105 (because I like sensitive breaking and all of those match the grayish anodized cover on the components)

I noticed that. And I do not have a shot of the headtube. I don't think that it will pull anything off. These guys were well done and the decals were under a clear coat. If it bothers you, get some hot water and a putty knife (or a fingernail) and work on it. I guarantee that it will not pull off any clearcoated paint or the decal.

Great score, great bike. I echo what everyone says.

1- I agree on going with the white housing/saddle (Turbo replica is available) and wrap.
2-Hair dryer will heat up that sticker, should be no problem getting it off and rubbing off the rest w/WD-40.
3-I have the 105 RD you seek.
4-If you think it rides nice now, remember the wheels have been relaxing for 20 years. Get them trued and tensioned, you'll notice a change.
5-Tires are available with that yellow stripe, or pink if you want to emphasize that.

A bike for the ages.
