Looks like a lower level Bianchi from the early 80's. Steel crank, steel rims it looks like, stamped steel droputs. Probably sold for around 200 when new.

It could be the angle of the picture but the forks look bent.

identify the bike and the forks are fine

Dannihilator 07-15-10 10:46 PM

Fork is bent.

how about some better pics? serial number?

Dannihilator 07-15-10 10:57 PM

Can't do much without more than 1 picture.

Might it be a sport sx?

Until there's a SN to be seen, this is the best I could muster.

Are you still going to paint it red?

Bianchigirll 07-16-10 04:14 AM

No this is not a Sport SX. this looks alot like a '83 standard but, it has a cottered crank and the wheels look like 26" ones. (the catalog does not show a 26" wheel model) whatever it is (if it is a Bianchi) it is a very low end bike. the '83 catalog shows the Standard as having a HiTen frame, and steel wheels.

as I mentioned in the other thread the stem and seatpost look very high. are they above the 'Min Insert" mark?
