Mafac Racer caliper question

One of the arms on my Mafac Racer front brake caliper is gummed up and doesn't move smoothly on its pivot anymore. I wanted to disassemble the caliper and clean everything...I figured it would be pretty much the same as a Weinmann Caliper, but after I took the Bolts off the pivots the arms didn't slide off like I expected. In fact I can't seem to get either arm off its pivot.

Whats the trick? or is there a fix for my issue thats easier than what I'm doing?

Pull harder or pry. The bushings are plastic on Racers. I don't think you can buy them anymore, so be careful.

Here's a diagram:

thanks, a little persuasion with the mallet drove em out

they had developed some surface rust on the post that Made it hard to get the arms off...cleaned that up and all is well now.
