I don't think it's a U-08, but what is it?
I got my first vintage bike last summer, and have been collecting, riding and flipping vintage bikes ever since.
This was one of the first bikes I had and sold... I knew nothing about it and sold it and haven't really thought about it since. Today I was looking through my flip spreadsheet and pictures, and I saw it. The guy I got it from/sold it for (split the profit) said he bought it for his wife in the 70's and she never put more than 10 miles on it. It was all original I believe and in beautiful shape. Nice gold outlining on the lugs, all alum. components/wheels, non-plastic Simplex derailleurs...etc. I know it isn't anything crazy as it had stamped drops but just curious what the model was. IIRC it was a MUCH smoother ride than the Raleigh GP I was riding at the time. http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...t/PIC-0135.jpg http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...t/PIC-0132.jpg http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...t/PIC-0133.jpg |
My wild guess is a '78 UO10.

Looks just like it. Thanks for that! I'll keep my eye out for one that was a pretty nice bike. All I ever see are UO8's, and I see A LOT of them.
