Yes, I've heard of 'em, but it's been a while! I've always liked the name for some reason :)

I'm sure this is what you've found, but just incase:

I know a fair amount about Park Pre. My race team (Conejo Velo Club) was sponsored by Park Pre in the late 80s and early 90s. The entire junior race team, and a few of the senior riders in the club were provided with complete bikes. These were all outfitted with Shimano 105 groupos (though I swapped out the 105 groupo for other components I had). The team issued frames were painted pink & white fade with blue splatter, and I also have a matching ParkPre MTB. Check out my signature for links to photos (sorry, not the best photos).

As indicated in the link above, the frames were designed by Cozy Yamakoshi. I knew the owner of the company, Mr. Park, through his two sons who also raced for Conejo Velo Club (which obviously factored into the sponsorship), though they focused a lot on track riding. The company was (is still?) based out of Moorpark, CA, but the frames were produced in Taiwan, I believe.

They produced mostly mid-range mountain bikes, but they did also put out some nice road frames. I know they also produced a prototype TT bike, which I don't think ever made it to market. I *believe* they also may have produced some track frames, which also never made it to market. My Park Pre has double-butted Tange Prestige II tubing. It's a great frame. I rode and raced it hard, and it's still going strong (although currently it's been stripped of most of it's parts for my LOOK renovation).

Anything else in particular you'd like to know?

Wow, that's a brand name I haven't heard in quite a long time. I barely remember seeing some rolling around the Boulder area many many years ago. I didn't know that they had taken over production on the pulstar hubs though, nice tidbit trivia fact there.

I had a ParkPre 24" bmx cruiser. Tig welded Tange tubing. Built very well. Cool rounded seatstay and chainstay caps at the rear dropout/trackend.

I think ParkPre even produced a few magnesium road frames.

I only recall seeing a few and they were ATBs. despite the lack of hoods and the pedals this one looks pretty nice.

Resurrecting this thread after a few years because i can't find any info about my bike. I have a Park Pre track and after countless days of searching i have come up with absolutely no information. i was hoping someone here had some resources or ANYTHING that could help me find something out about this. all I know is that it has Suntour superbe Track ends

That Tange decal looks from the first version Prestige '84-'90, so most likely a 80s bike. To be sure I would need to see a better shot of the decal.
You put 90s on the OP, but 80s on the title.
Never seen a ParkPre 925R with a single paint color. What is the serial number?
