Who can give me some info on older 700c wheels?
Now, I'm not talking 27", more so flashing back to the 90's here. I picked up a '90 C'dale 3.0 Road with a shimano 600 group just recently from ebay and have been looking across the internet for a 700c wheelset with 126mm spacing in the rear. Almost all the wheelsets I have found (albeit from private sellers) have 130mm spacing.
Anyone reading this have a decent set they are looking to get rid of, or know where I could find what I'm looking for?
Thanks,
Adam

unfortunatly you can't 'coldset' that Aluminum frame to accept a wider hub. so you are pretty much stuck with a 126mm 7spd wheelset.
you can wrestle a wider wheel in to the framr and live with that but it will be hard on your dropouts.

Two best solutions in my experience:
1. Find a donor bike. This is my favorite solution. The "ideal" donor would either have a fatal flaw (stuck seat post, damaged frame, etc), be a smokin hot deal in the wrong size, or be a desirable frame where you can part out the donor.
2. Post a WTB wheels in your local C/L. Be sure to post it in the bicycles for sale section. No one looks at the wanted section, at least around here. I have yet to have bought a single new wheel, in 150 bikes. But I have picked up quite a few donors, wheels at garage sales, and off C/L. Another benefit of used wheels is that they almost always come with a freewheel and tires and tubes.
