Um, you're not allowed to say that you "just picked up a 1951 Humber Clipper" WITHOUT POSTING ANY PICTURES! Cripes.
So, please post some pics, huh? |

more like the first pic. Different fork and chainring. I'll post up some pics tomorrow. Its in pretty rough shape looks wise but solid mechanically.

decals and headbadge indicate "Humber" hesdbadge and top tube, "Clipper" downtube. the SA-AW hub is dated 1951.

Interesting pictures. I wonder now if Humber used regular Raleigh type forks and different chain rings as well as those made famous by Humber at times?
Here are two more sources for decals. You may have to contact them as Humber decals are not listed in their current stock lists. http://www.velocals.com/servlet/StoreFront http://stores.ebay.com/Cyclomondo So, what are your plans; clean up or total restoration? |
Probably full resto, working on a '54 Raleigh Sport now so it will be a while.

Niagara Cycle Works has $4.99 frame pumps that will work on an English 3-speed.
