detail paint recommendations
 

Hi all, thought i'd throw this to the experts...

i'm wanting to paint in the 'GIOS' on the tops of my chrome fork on my gios (funnily enough) as they tend to collect a bit of grime, so i'm thinking red paint would be a nice touch and a good reson to keep them clean. what should i go with and how should i go about this? is a little pot of model paint a good idea? what do you use? i'm figuring a gentle application with a fine brush and a cloth to wipe across should leave it nice and tidy. should i use any clearcoat over that or am i just overthinking this?

Hey...You've got the method figured out.

You could use any of the following: Testor's Model paint, One Shot sign enamel, Duplicolor touch-up auto paint...all work equally well.

I would use some form of clear when done you can apply it the same way, it will help keep the paint looking good longer.

When done applying the paint into the letters, instead of a cloth, use the side edge of a toothpick and run around the edges of the letters to give a nice clean sharp edge to the paint instead of the softer look of a cloth. I don't think you need to use the clearcoat on this paint.
