Need shoe repair shop that can re-cover Turbomatic saddle.
I love my Turbomatic 2 saddle and I really take good care of it. My other bike doesn't have one, it has a Pirelli suspension Selle San Marco "Attive". This saddle is OK but the front part is too pointy and the leather sticks to you when you stand up in the saddle.
So I bought a used Turbomatic saddle the other day from ebay. The seller said "it has a few scuffs". This was inaccurate since there is a big section on the front right side where the leather is completely gone. The base and rails on this saddle look fine. I love the ridged texture on my Turbomatic 2 saddle, I suspect that the ridges dissipate heat and perspiration and that this is partly why sliding in and out is so natural (no jokes please).
I know I saw a recent thread where someone asked about putting fresh leather on their favorite plastic based saddle. Is there any specialist leather worker out there known to any of you who does custom recovering of bike seats? I would love it if you had a choice of different textures or colors of leather as well. I might check my local shoe repair but since they are not cyclists I'm afraid they may not appreciate the importance of having the cover being tight, seamless and smooth.
Would love to hear any suggestions. BTW: for myself I would pay 50 or 60$ for such a service if I knew it was top quality. For somebody just doing it for the first time, not so much...

you might be better off looking for an ulpholster either furniture or auto seating. these days most cobbles do not make shoes and may not have leather lying about.
