32's on a RB-1?
I am getting ready to start work on my RB-1. The bike came with 28's stock and was wondering if 32 wide Panaracers would fit? I searched for a while and never came up with a answer.

You could always measure. :) Dollars to doughnuts says they'll fit w/o fenders.

Are you expecting a lot of snow in Dallas this winter?

Calipers will tell you for sure but if the stock wheels were 28 Ritchey Slicks then they are not a full 28mm when inflated. However, I just stuck some 28 Grand Bois Cerfs on my RB-2 and that is a full 28 and I have room to spare. My guess is that a 32 would work fine sans fenders.

I know where you might get some Pasela TG wire beads at a slight discount. mounted but only test rode in the parking lot.

I was kind of surprised by the Pasela 32's size. I didn't measure but it sure looks bigger than 32 when inflated.

Oh yeah, I never considered that. I have a set mounted on a rim with probably a 16-17mm inner width.

Not the same bike but I run 700X32 Marathons on my '88 T700 Bridgestone. Tight fit but they clear.
