Need the Peugeot experts... what is this?
Looking for a new (old) bike and found this: https://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-PEUGEOT-...item3360a36d15 I already don't know much about Peugeot bikes, and this seems like it may have a mish-mash of parts on it. How much is this bike worth?

Lovely, dig that color scheme. Looks similar in some respects to cudak888's '78 PY-10 but without the chrome and gold bling so perhaps it's a PX or PV? Definitely late 70s.

3 tubes of straight gauge 531. Cheap simplex parts. Questionable fork.
Probably a fine riding bike but not worth the price.
Edit: certainly an early 80s model.
Good simplex seatpost and possibly luxe comp hubs.

I think that's a PKN-10. Very nice bike. I sold some of those. Not as light or fancy as a PX-10, but it rode great. I would say it is worth $300 or possibly more.
I don't think the fork is bent. The front brake cable is too long and bent back, and it could be deceiving our eyes.

Looks like it has Stronglight 105 crankset in the 'drillium' version.... 122 mm bcd, tricky to find replacements

It's a 1980-ish PKN10E "Competition". The crank is a 104, not a 105. It was second from the top in the lineup. It might be worth $300, at least in my area, if it didn't have a bent fork.

Yeah, the fork looked sketchy in the photo, but it's local to me so I could always check it out in person. I think I may just lay back, I doubt it's going to go for minimum bid but we'll see. Thanks for clearing that up.

I looked at the pictures repeatedly, and I also wonder if the the fork is bent. If you drop a line from the stem, through the head tube, and down through the fork, it just does not look 100% kosher. If the fork is straight, I think that the $300 price is fair. If not,.......

Simplex SX mechs; they work well and are much more durable than earlier Simplex mechs.
Model is from 1979/1980 period.
I agree, very questionable fork. Value with a decent fork is in 200-300$ range.

Maybe the seller could take a close up of this area... cracks or ripples in the paint or missing paint is always a warning sign.
