Is there a Hiawatha Serial No. Data Base?
 

Hi Fellow Bike Heads, I picked up an old Hiawatha Girls Bike yesterday and am curious as to the year of manufacture. The serial No. is 796510 and is located under the BB / Crankcase. It's been repainted white at some point in it's past and so far i don't see anything to indicate the original color. I'm thinking I will when I remove the crank to inspect and re-grease. It looks to be complete besides the seat and pedals. It has rear-facing dropouts, an offset crank (i hope that's the right terminology) and no braze-ons for the chainguard. I'm gonna try to add a pic or 2 but have had trouble with that in the past here for some reason. Anyway, I will appreciate any and all info I can gain.
