Cheap and uninspired but gets noticed. A 1948 CCM plant stand.

i have not repurposed any bike parts yet, but i do have some plans... for the time being, my tommasini and silca floor pump grace the living room.

It looks like someone has a Mini Cooper. I wanted one before the dealer tacked an extra $2k after my order arrived. Bought a smart instead, not as fast but just about as much fun.

Nope. Those are "dial" wheels, a sway bar, coils, and torsion bars from a Porsche.

Edit: and cut me slack on the non matching seating. The sofas were free and I'm a young single guy

No one has posted the simplex drawer pulls yet!
I have three that aren't mounted, waiting for some drawers I guess.

Windchimes, although Litespeed made them

Stronglight chain rings, DT spokes, and bits of titanium tubing.

And, I made a trellis for my hops vine:

Before, just after I finished constructing it. Hopefully, my ahole neighbors honeysuckle doesn't obscure it too much:

After, a shot from the yard. You can't even tell there are bike wheels in there anymore!

And I got second place in the Dutchess County Fair this year!

Oh, yeah! I did that one 30 years ago, I think, on an old oak map cabinet. I used the front clamp bit from front derailleurs: Raleigh(=Suntour), Fuji (=Suntour) and Campy Valentino, and... yeah, probably Simplex, now that I think about it.

Ben, congrat's on your prize! So... is the first batch of beer ready yet?

Money for the Porsche, not for the sofa. Yep, you are single and young.

The furniture made of car parts wasn't enough of a hint?

Its not that I can't afford a new sofa, I'm just not stupid enough to turn down free ones. My back side could not care less about what color they are. I would like a nice set, but I will probably wait till I get a bigger place.

But I like the phone dial wheels. What did you replace them with?

BTW - blacked-out Fuchs would have looked really good with the smoked glass and gloss black bits.

17in split spoke caymans for the street:

16in forged clubsports from a 928gt for the track:

fuch wheels are too valuable for the living room. i plan to refinish the dials sometime. i like the contrast of the silver dials, but mine are in pretty poor shape.

the table parts just bolt to the wheels and fit any traditional porsche wheel. the dials are still 100% serviceable for car use.

I had a set of Phone Dials on my 1983 VW Rabbit track car.

they look great on a rabbit, but i agree with your choice to remove them from your 944.
