C&V at Boston Hub on Wheels September 26th 2010

Sorry Pastor Bob - not looking good for the Northern NH C&V ride on October 2nd for me.
Anyone doing Hub on Wheels Sunday. I am riding with some women who love to chat which
has the unfortunate side of effect of causing them to go slowly. I would be interested
in doing the ride with some C&V people.

Always the problem: Which bike to ride...

Dave, I plan to ride it, most likely the 50-mile option. If it rains I'll be on my Ebisu; if dry, my Wes Mason.

It was a really fun ride today if a bit crowded. My buddy Bob and I did the 50-mile option, both of us on 650B-wheeled bikes (I was on my Ebisu w/ Hetre tires, and Bob was on his PX-10 conversion with PariMotos). Saw a good array of C&V bikes, as well as several new/classic builds (Rivendell, Peter Mooney, ANT, and a few others I didn't get the name of). As far as fat tires being slow, why was it that I had to ride my brakes the entire time during a fast single-file part through a city woods--all of those thin, high-pressure tire dudes were going too slow! I had my tires pumped all the way up to 37psi.
