Cierra Professional 5000

I just wanted to make this thread to at least get Some information out about Cierra for anyone searching in the future. I picked up a Cierra Professional 5000 a little while back and couldn't find Anything online about it. Just a lot of people asking about Cierra with no answers.

So, I don't know what was original to the bike, but here's what mine has on it. Dia Compe Gran Compe brake levers and NGC 400 calipers, Sakae Super Custom crank-set, and Suntour ARX derailleurs with Suntour Symmetric shifters. It also has two different wheels, so take your pick on which is original (I'm randomly guessing rear). The rear is an Araya rim and SR hub. The front is an Araya rim with Shimano Exage hub. There is a Tange Champion #2 sticker on it. It used to say Cierra largely on the down tube, but it was so badly scraped away that I just took it off completely. I also replaced the original aluminum bars with ergo bars and replaced the seat, which was already unoriginal. It weighs 23.3lbs as seen in the pics. In my limited experience, it rides really well.

Something about the front fork seems unoriginal to me, but that could just be because I don't like the chrome front fork. However, maybe that would also explain why it has two different wheels. Who knows... Here's what it looks like.

I saw this bike in person in Madison and honestly it seemed very nice. It would be nearly impossible to know if the component mix or the fork is original but if it is stock it certainly wasn't a low end bargain basement bike. 3speed would love to know more if anyone has any ideas.

Hello there...

Hi, I just acquired my own Cierra Professional 5000. It is completely stock and in pretty good condition. I'm attempting to overhaul the bike completely to original factory condition. I would really appreciate ANYTHING you know about this company and/or this model. :)

probably an Importer's brand, I bet the serial number might provide a clue about the actual (Japanese) manufacturer, and I bet the unicrown fork on the first example is a replacement.
