Creeper Bike
My daughter calls this my Creeper Bike after the truck in the movie "Jeepers Creepers".
Here's a site with some shots of the truck. I think you'll see the resemblence.

I'm thinking about going all out with the Creeper theme. What I would do is kill all of the rust with a rust converter that turns it black and then paint it back on with a sponge and air brush. I'd add some "rusty" fenders. It would be a whole lot cheaper than replacing all of those rusty parts and I think it would be a fun project. I'll definitely have something different when I'm done. It would be nice to have it finished by Halloween, but I don't work that fast.

I think that sounds like a lot of fun! It's great to do something a little different sometimes, I've been thinking of some off the wall projects myself, just gotta get motivated to do it. Good luck with the Creeper Bike, can't wait to see pics when you're done-

Loved the old cab over from that movie, I was massively disappointed when it wasn't in part 2 (which was horrible in comparison to the first!), one of my favorite opening movie sequences of all time!

that does sound fun and that rustoleum rust converter paint works well and is great for painting over.
the question is, can you paint the rust back on convincingly

+1 to black rust.
It needs handlebar streamers in orange /black - and lights, with purple or orange lens' I think.
How about a headless scarecrow draped over the rack?

The sequel to Jeepers Creepers was a big disappointment for me and my family. We loved the first one.

I got a really rusty headlight I'll send you if you PM me an address. It's off an old Raleigh, so it's that style, not anything classic Schwinn.

So have I! But I think mine says Schwinn Approved on it. Extremely funky looking item. Unfortunately, it came with "Schwinn Approved" batteries, you know the kind (if any device is damaged by this battery send it and the battery to Schwinn, Chicago 15...). And, wouldn't you know it, the device has been damaged by the battery. Still, it would look just right on that bike.
