I believe you simply jump on and then jump off. I thinkhere is a peg on the left side of the frame. you put your left foot on it and push or kick off with the right an swing your leg over. dismounting would be similar but not as graceful.

I beleive this is where the practice of mounting a "safety" bicycle in a similar fashion came from. not to mention everyone in the '70 riding 25" varsities

There is a foot peg about six inches above the rear wheel. The rider pushes off the ground to get the bike coasting, hands on the handlebar, one foot on the peg.

For the beginner i say get a buddy to help you on and off, have them hold the bike while you climb up and down. Once you get brave enough its the same concept as getting on and off a tall bike. Jog next to it and man up and climb up it basically

Climb up the spine. There are steps on it.Don't get your pants in the front wheel like me and do a face plant.

This ..... not that hard really.

Opposite to dismount. One foot back to the peg, slide back and step the other foot to the ground.
