Where'd you get the funky red saddle?!

BTW, how's the foldover at the nose doing, still holding ok?

It's holding great! For those unaware, Keith received that saddle as a torn up mess and through his magic and art, turned it into the beauty you see crowning it.

Is that the Fizik that came on the International? I thought that would be a good candidate to recover...

The Sachs is looking great, nice job!

Liked her before too.

These bikes are always works in progress. You fix/upgrade one thing, and then you decide to make a change elsewhere.

That's the fun for me, and I'd guess the same for you as well.

So importantly, how do the new to you brake calipers perform?

What a gorgeous dream bike you have there.

I know it's early, but are you going to NAHBS this spring?

Austin...never been...would love to go. Are you heading down? That would certainly be incentive!

I think the only things left I might play with are the cranks...they're a bit rough. I'm tempted to put a Superbe Pro set on it and make it a true Frankenstein.

I know where you could get an entire Campagnolo Record drivetrain, even a NOS BB.

FYI, those little cobalto "gems" tend to fall out and get lost in the bushes, so I would not recommend riding with them. Replace them with regular nuts for riding, and put the others somewhere safe.

Ya know, I've never been, either.... AND, I have a fistful of free southwest vouchers. If you guys are going, I'll see what I can do to make an appearance. I'd love to meet both of you.....

Yes we are.

My family lives in the Texas Hill Country and my youngest son and I are going to visit grandma and grandpa. Probably Mr. Kirk, Mr. White, and Mr. Sachs as well.

As for the Suntour set, we sold a very nice RB1 that was loaded with a complete, super nice Superbe Pro groupset.

That is a bike I probably should have kept a little longer.

I have a bunch of Suntour GPX/Superbe Pro goodies on a beautiful Montagner I am selling this winter.

Maybe there is something on there that will help your cause down the line.

Ok...I've already decided...I'm going. That's certainly a productive use of PDO time, and I hear Austin is AMAZING.

That's kind of silly. You can buy replacements for about $20 on eBay, but those have held nicely for over 20+ years, it would not be a huge concern to me.

Austin is amazing. Very good music city and plenty of good eatin'.

......and I'd love to meet all of you guys.

We could eat our way from one end of the town to the other!

It's my personal favorite of the big cities around my parent's house.

I could only run around with you guys for a day, but you'd be trying to ditch me after a few hours anyway.

You'll love my son though, he's a hoot and a half.

They loop in the front a bit...I'll space it out a bit more. Oddly the Sachs only has two cable guides...and that's also making the spacing seem odd on the rear.

Focus is off in the photos, Aaron.

Austin is a great town. Forum members who are from the area can tell you guys the spots to hit. Had a blast at SXSW one year. Awesome guitar shops and music venues.

Hmmm NAHBS is in Austin 2011? I haven't been since (I played at) SxSW in 1993...or was it '94? Long time ago, anyway, and now I have two friends who live there. I may have to return: it's a great town to visit.
