I put it sometime in the 70's. Rode really nice. My buddy will have it on an indoor trainer this winter.

And, yes I did fix the saddle/post issue - it drove me nuts to look at it.

I figured that had something to do with a torsoly-challenged type of rider; one who needed a little help to reach the bars...

I've seen tri-bikes use a forward-biased seatpost arrangement, too. I guess if it's comfortable, we'll go with what works (I have been known to use a Flite Evolution, which looks like the most UNcomfortable saddle on the planet, but in reality is anything but!).

Thanks for posting those pics - I really like that bike.

A 1968 Shwinn Varsity I just finished, not one I'd keep as a rider but this one cleaned up pretty well.

1975 Vicini club racer

Campa Valentino, Gipiemme, Universal parts. Orogonal Benotto tape. Almost unridden. Very orange.
