International man of....
MORE BIKES! Seriously, this is starting to get out of control, but that usually is when the fun starts:D
Anyway, trolling CL I found an ad for a 74 International. With some help from KonAaronSnake, I picked the frame/fork up yesterday. It was 98% stripped but still needed quite a bit of stripping. The chrome is in decent shape and there are only 2 small (smaller than a pea) dings.
I took it over to Spectrum cycles today (I'm there usually once a week or so trying to learn) for a checkup. Someone made the rear spread 124mm by only bending the right chainstay....:twitchy: Damn hipsters. Jeff reset the bike to 120mm (I'm attempting a period or close to OE rebuild) and made sure everything was alignment, including the head tube which was slightly tweaked. I'm pretty sure it's better aligned now than it ever was! While I was there, he showed me how to install braze ons for a bottle holder. I know it didn't come with them but it's my bike, I don't care for clamp on holders and it already was messed up SO on they went.
Here are some pictures. I need to decide on a color....
