The next project..

Turn this '72 Mondia frame and this box of parts into a low geared, 15 speed hill killer. First up, build some wheels on some NR highflange. Rally rear derailler, NR front, NR crank with a triplizer and a 26 inner, 14-34 freewheel. 3ttt bars and stem, Ideale seat, Mafac brakes with Weinmann levers ala Spence Wolf.

I picked up my Super Mondia a few years ago. A very nice bicycle. Mine was all first generation, black anodized Dura Ace with many of the components missing. So, I built it up differently, only to find that the bicycle was too small for me.

Good luck with your bicycle and keep the rubber side down.

Great colour on frame and nice gadgets to go with that - a future hit!

Thanks. My roommate in college had a red one, always wanted one. Finally ran across this frame, paid too much, but what the heck.

How so? Seat height doesn't look too extreme, a longer stem and sliding the seat back would give more torso room...

I've no doubt that's gonna turn out really cool.

It's always nice to see another Mondia going together on BF. The frame looks immaculate and I'm sure that's going to be a beauty when completed. I'm looking forward to the 'after' pics.

Hmm, actually, I did a bunch of paint touch up to the frame! Still need to rub it out a bit, wax it and add the French Reynolds decals.

If you need someplace to store those leftover 1st-gen black Dura-Ace components, just let me know and I'd be delighted to help you out!

Lovely project dbakl.
