Here's a short list off the top of my head, both tig and lug builders. By no means does this cover everyone. Bicycling Magazine had a really nice list that spanned two pages earlier this year....too bad I can't find it now. IMHO, I think US built titanium frames are going to be very desirable in the future...perhaps even more so with the next generation of enthusiasts. It seems Bridgestone became cult-famous largely due to innovation and bucking the trend of the times...which ironically was done by adopting a "retro-grouch" philosophy. I don't know what might constitute the next Bridgestone, but it doesn't seem like it'd be along these same lines. I'd be curious to see what the next major innovation (in bike philosophy, not bike gimmicks) might be. |
