N-1+1
So, after the subject came up in a recent thread, brockd15 and I discussed trading my 23" Schwinn Prelude for his 25" Raleigh Super Course. It was a mutually beneficial trade I think, because both the bikes are pretty nice but the Prelude was a shade too small for me and the Super Course was a bit to big for Brock. He brought up the idea of a trade and we completed the deal this morning. I'll miss the Prelude, but now I have a new bike to tinker with and tune in.
The original owner had a problem with the rear derailleur so Brock put a Suntour aR on the bike. I happened to have an aRX that matches the original derailleur so I slapped that on. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/DSCI1683.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/DSCI1684.jpg http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/DSCI1674.jpg Click here for more pictures. |
I would love to find a super course. Yours seems to be in great shape.

Yeah, I'm pleased. I think the trade was pretty even cuz the Prelude was pretty nice, too.

I just got back from taking the Prelude for a spin and so far it's great. I really liked the Super Course, and even though I could ride it, it wasn't ideal. The Prelude, on the other hand, is ideal and is exactly what I was looking for. The trade worked out great I think.

And here's the original owners problem with the original rear derailleur. I couldn't quite get it to work for some reason. :)

I think you will both be very happy with your new (old) bikes. That Raleigh is just beautiful and I know the Prelude (or any Columbus Schwinn) is a really fab bike.
:thumb: to both you and brockd15 ! |
