The reaction is mildly amusing. It's a forum like this forum, but there is no overall theme to the site like at bikeforums.net, and the threads are ephemeral, really meant to discuss things of interest for a few hours to a day or two (they don't disappear, they just bubble down the list).

That particular subforum (/r/bicycling) occasionally has somebody post a thread for people to post pictures of their rides. There is no particular theme of bikes, unless stated, and the photos aren't inline, which is a bit of a buzz-kill, but outside of the civilized corners of the Internet like here, inline images are ripe for abuse.
