wasyl and I have been trying to figure out what he has. He emailed me through MY "TEN SPEEDS" hoping for some identification information.

I have not been able to help him. I looked through all my pictures, and challenged my memory (I think, I can't remember) and came up with a couple of possibilities, but nothing for sure.

My estimate is entry level Italian, of late sixties or early seventies vintage (really wild guess) and similar to the entry level Torpado, Chiorda or Bottecchias of similar vintage. Entry level Garlotti comes to mind also.

Anyway, that's about where this information quest is at and I hope this is a help.

Large plate style rear brake bridge is typical of entry level models. No holes for headbadge indicates decal badge and is also typical for entry level. Collar clamp for post is typical of 1960s or earlier. Appears to have single, downtube shifter boss. These do go back to at least early 1950s. It is reminescent of Italian bicycles but to tell for sure he should remove and check the bottom bracket cup size. At some point, somebody has interchanged the fixed and adjustable cups, so it's obviously not English threaded. I'd like to see photos of any components and the shifter boss.

Image 1196r shows the rear drop out but what is the little circular feature on the seat stay?

The pump makes me think pre-1965 but the pump is not part of the frame and should not be iused to date the frame.

this is hard plastic wheel with a hole, I have no idea what it is ;]

This pump fits the handles on the frame

The paint on the head set cup looks like celeste green, sort of. I wonder if this is an old Bianchi? I have owned a couple of Bianchi Sprints that have many similar frame features to your bike. Have a look at these Bianchi "Sprints" and see what you think.

The shifter boss are Campagnolo. My understanding is that this particular style was introduced in 1955, so the frame should be no older than that.

The first image in post #4 shows what appears to be faux lugs. The lugs appear to be stamped impressions in the headtube, as you can see the outline of the lugs on the inside of the head tube. I'd appreciate if the OP would verify this. This was a common method to economize. A flat sheet was stamped then rolled and welded to form the head tube and lugs.

The brakes, are entry level Universal Sports. I'm not sure exactly when they were introduced, but some time after the Universal 61, in 1961.

I'd still like to see a picture of the crankset, shifters and derailleurs, if you have them. Currently, there are some conflicting features. It has shifter bosses, yet features what appears to a stamped headtube with faux lugs.

I have this part, but I do not know whether they are from this frame.
I did not take photos crankset because not original. there is company zzr and from Poland. Bottom bracket also. frame is Italian thread, threads Clockwise, The width of 70 mm. I hope I helped, meybe shifter boss be welded later ?

Shift levers, assuming they are orginal, would move the oldest possible date up to 1963.
