True, but then if you had the rims, it would be as good as impossible to find any tires at all. Not having original rims would free you to use a rim size that you can actually get tires for. I'd be okay with that.

+1. I'm sure there is an available rim/tire choice very close to the original size.

Looks later than 07 to me. If it's pre '36 it probably had 28x1 1/2 "singletubes". You can get them but they're about $200-$300 a set. The rims are cheap cause the tires are so darn expensive.
Raleigh (or Yellow Jersey) Roadster rims and tires would be the best choice. 27s work but they're too skinny, fat 700s are ok. I've seen 26s on them but it looks wrong.
Turns out the actual rim diameter for the singletube (which happens to be a glue on tire) is still with us and any tubular will actually fit the rim. You can get fat ones for some sort of dirt racing that I don't recall that almost look ok but for the chunky tread.

That's an early 1930s cycle. Not 1907.
It probably had steel 26" rims with clincher tires.

$75.00 wouldn't even begin to cover the cost of the rechroming work, I agree though that it looks a lot later than 1907.

in the picture it looks like the rims are in the tires. All that it needs is to have them laced up.
Also, the add says the chroming is all done except frame, fenders, and forks - they could be painted.
Am I missing something here or is this just an assembly job?

Well yeah, that's the question (emphasis added). I don't see a chain in the picture, for example. Maybe he has it, maybe not. It's very hard to say what's missing until you go to look for it and can't find it.

I would be a whole lot more tempted it it were a man's frame.

I'd almost get it to use as a parts bike for a man's frame. Frames are easy enough to come by.
I wonder if the inside of that coaster hub got chromed, too.
