80's Centurion Le Mans RS + fenders

Hiya
Been a while since I've been logged on. New project time. Thinking of getting an 80's Le Mans RS. There seems to be eyelets for them but not sure if I can fit fenders on them (is there room under the rear brake bridge?). I'm thinking of getting nice Honjo or VO fenders. I have SKS on my commuter. They okay, but thinking of a nice 80's road bike with nice hammered fenders. Thanks!

I have 2 Le Mans RS'. I measured the width to be about 2 inches inside the caliper. One thing to consider is that they have skinny tires and wheels from the factory(one inch). I dont know what sizes those fenders come in, but they might look a little 'baggy" on those skinnier than normal tires

Sounds like it'll fit! I'm short so I'm thinking of getting this bike. Hard to find bikes in under 50cm sizes. The Honjo fenders (narrow ones) I hear, are fine for 700x25 tires.

Both the early 80's (27's) and the later 80's (700's) had eyelets for fenders.
Both had plenty of clearance. I believe BF member gomango has a great example.

My '87 was the same as that black and yellow beauty on CL.

You should be able to get 28's on there, and fenders.
My '84, with 27's, had no problem with 27x1.25 Paselas.
My '87, with 700c, had no problems with 28's.
Both had ample clearance for fenders, with the tires.
