It lacks the C&V Seal of Approval™, but it's what I have and it's functional:

who cares about C&V.
One time i put a rear rack on the front, because I'm crazy like that. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_bYNfObzpWyA/TQ.../commuter4.jpg |
Huh, I've always wondered about that, given the number of inexpensive rear racks and the general lack of fronts (especially that match). Any pictures of how you got it to work?
|
I've also always wondered how hard is it to put an average rear rack on the front. Does it have any negative effects with weight distribution or steering? (As compared with a rack specifically designed for the front which hangs lower.)

^ That Lotus is awesome. Is that a rear rack mounted on the front? You should post pics of those centerpulls in the "Show Us Your Centerpulls" thread.

Not the best picture but I have this one mounted on the Sport at the moment. Not sure what it is as I've only seen one similar like it with lights mounted on the arms underneath.

Yes, I've been using that trick for awhile. In addition to lights, I frequently use it to mount bar-end mirrors on drops with bar-end shifters |
