I have tons of pictures of this bike in various configurations. My latest configuration is back to the expected components when purchased new. Most of the parts came with the bike but some are replacements. Those include the seat post, pedals, freewheel. The wheels were swapped from Mavic 500 hubs with GL330 rims to LF Campagnolo Record with GP4's. Not that the 500's are slouches, they definitively are not! The intent is to get to as close a Super Record gruppo as possible. No pedals were provided with the bike. The bar tape is NOS Benotto applied this weekend. The hoods are the reproductions. The chain is contemporary SRAM 830 and the freewheel is a 6 speed Regina CX. I am amazed how well this configuration shifts. Future changes will include a Columbus decal and Superissimo decals replaced. The Saddle is also a departure with it being a Brooks Swallow.

Ooops! Just noticed the rear wheel rotated. Well sometimes an imperfection makes it more.....something, real.

The Italian story continues…….

Tommasini's, Pinarello, Colnago, Ciocc and even a LOSA; a brand I haven't seen before and quite spectacular it is too….that's on this page so far. The previous page is simply littered with a smorgasbord of Italian marques…all mouthwatering…all with that Italian 'something' that is quite tangible.

This is thread heaven for me. Thanks for posting your fabulous bikes guys.

I guess the rim joint or the valve was not the heaviest region. I used to set the valves behind the fork blade and chainstay when imaging a profile. Out of sight, out of mind.

Based on the parts date code, 1991. All parts are as purchased but the assembly was cleaned up and new housings and bar tape replaced. Well, the Campagnolo bottle shouldn't be there and it was an addition. Montello BTW.

@EBH - Thanks! It was a good find and at a reasonable price. The only fault is the saddle! I actually like the way the decals fell off and left the white making them less pronounced. Color scheme is "Spumoni". So Italian!

I've had this Rossin for a few years. The paint is pretty beat up, but it rides pretty nice. I don't ride it too much, mostly due to the gearing limitations(with a Super Record derailleur and a 42t chainring) and all of the hills here.

Here's how it came to me. Selling off the plastic front wheel covered the initial cost of the bike.

OK, since I received on good compliment on my contribution, I will add one that is more of a before picture rather than an after. I do this because I don't know when I will get around to cleaning it up!

Shiiiii.... you say! WTH is that thing! 1973 Bottecchia Giro d'Italia with some franken parts as purchased. "That doesn't belong here with all these fine Italian bikes!" It is the same frame as the top of the line Professional and will be converted to same (all Campagnolo save the HS).

My training bike, just built a 1984 Guerciotti, SLX Columbus with full campy chorus and a SR rear D. It weighs, 19.5, empty cage and tube bag. I thought it would have weighed less with alum 16 spoke and 20 spoke wheels. Anyway, I love this bike.
