Happy Holidays, C&Vers!

Just thought I'd send out a Happy Holidays to all my C&V brethren before I skip out of work for the next few days!

To help me do so, here's the pic we used of my kids on the Christmas cards this year. I hope your holidays will be at least as happy as they are in this pic!

The same to all of you fine folks.

So many of you here have helped me, advised me, counseled me...it's gratifying and humbling. My life has been enriched by the friends and friendships I have gained while hanging out here for the past year or so. There are too many of you to name, many know who you are and yet some of you don't...you've done all these things by way of your previous posts that I have searched out, read, and learned from. This "thing" that I do now, "C&V" for lack of a better way to describe it, touches me on many levels, and I have all of you to thank for it.

I wish you all the merriest Christmas season, and if you're traveling, be safe on the way and return the same.

What a striking resemblance! That's exactly the face you made after we dropped you on the last group ride!

Happy Winter Solstice to all (or Summer Solstice to our friends in the Southern Hemisphere)!

Its the 23rd.

Its a Festivus for the rest of us.

Airing of grievences - STIs and Ergos suck. Clipless suck. Welds and carbon suck.

Feats of strength - I'll wrestle anyone half my weight or out climb anyone twice my weight.

Now where's my aluminum pole ...

Bah, the aluminum pole thing was such a fad, we're back to Columbus/Gilco, great strength to weight ratio...

Happy holidays!

We decided not to go with a real tree this year. Being my nine month old and a large tree with blinking shiny things being dangling infront front of her wouldn't have a good outcome more likely. So we made a paper tree and made our own decorations. A little less damaging if she pulls this off the wall instead of a full size tree. lol.

Happy holidays to everyone and be safe!

Thanks for all of the help and valuable information that you've given me over the last several months. Merry Christmas everyone. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday.

They flipped a coin to decide who had to sport the antlers. Thomas is still bent about that deal....

Happy Holidays from Wisconsin!
We are getting more snow today, here is a pic from last weeks 22 incher.
4 wheel drive is a must in rural areas, it was the ONLY way to get around before the plows came (about 36 hours into the storm).
I don't take my Pinarello out on roads like this.

If we start her young then she'll never know and think everyone else is strange with a dead tree in their house. Maybe we started a treehugger early in life then. But then again probably took more trees to make our paper tree then just one real tree.

Merry Christmas to all!

Frogbutter, send some of that snow down here to SE WI. The piddling couple inches or less at a time here is more annoying than usefull for outdoor fun. The good news is the cold has given us good first ice - TIP UP!

Here's a C&V holiday picture for you:

VIRGINIA1-popup[1] by snarkypup, on Flickr

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. But your bike is too big.

Eight year-old Virginia O'Hanlon, of letter-writing fame. Article in the NY Times on Virginia's family today from which I stole the photo: https://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/25/ny...a.html?_r=1&hp

You folks are the best of the best, except for Neal who is going to get a lump of coal in his stocking for using a Gran Sport as a winter beater...

Wishing you all the happiest of holidays from Canuckistan where we live so close to Santa he sometimes stops by for coffee and cookies... the man's appetite is insatiable and yet, he never gains an ounce.

This is what Christmas looked like last year for me... it is a lot whiter this Christmas more than a little lonely and you folks have kept my spirits much brighter than you know.

We won't really be celebrating for a few more weeks and my view will improve greatly.
