NICE frame though!
I hate to ask but why? If you don't want to give your money to Specialized because of their business practices boycotting used bikes won't do that. They've already been paid for it.

Final battle? What have you tried to do to get it out? And what size frames are you looking for?

54-56 sizes fit me

I've cut the post into strips inside the seattube. Some down deep are not cut all the way through. However, the aluminum is bonded to the steel so I am hammering each strip back away from the inner tube. Not fun. Probably the most stuck post I've come across. Long and fully jammed into the seatpost as well.

Though a bit too new for the parameters of being classic or vintage I thought I would give this a shot anyway: I have a 2001 CAAD5 frameset which I just finished building up only to find it is a bit too large at 56cm... I am looking for a 54cm, open to anything interesting and/or cool:steel is fine, aluminum just as good. This is a R3000si with carbon fork and new cane creek hidden headset. sorry for the crap picture, I haven't mastered posting pic's yet. I will work on getting some better ones up. Thanks.

I just came into a fully original 1976 Centurion Semi Pro in a size that I will never be able to ride (60 cm.) and would love to find an identical frameset in a 54 or 56 cm size that I can move components over to. It is cobalt blue in color with chrome headtube lugs and wrap around seat tube cluster. I will try to get photos up ASAP.

I have a (I think?) 1979 Semi Pro 56cm, but in poor condition gold. Poor condition comes from my inability to remove some glow tape PO installed everywhere so I can't get it off w/o damaging or even worse case stripping the paint down to the chrome. I can photo graph as you wish.

Parts are off and better pictures taken:

Looking to trade this 1979 Univega Gran Rally with Tange Champion tubing for something in comparable quality in the 52-55cm range. This would be for the frame, fork and headset. 62 cm c-t-c seat tube and 57 cm c-t-c top tube. Head tube measures roughly 20 cm. Light rust at the top tub front cable guide below where the brake cable was and a little on the serial number on the bb. There are some scrapes on the right seat stay. Nice light blue color with gold lining at the lugs.

Wow, sorry I just saw the pics on a full size screen. I love the color scheme. I also have the whole Arabesque group on my Super Le Tour at the moment, I could bring it back close to original.

The Cannondale, is an ST400, in that medium pearl blue. 1985 I believe? I am no C'dale expert though. Mounts for everything. A sport touring that is heavy on the touring. It does use regular sidepull caliper brakes.,,,,BD

Anyone interested in a 58cm Diamondback Master tg? Early 90s tig-welded True Temper OS chromoly. This is a very smooth ride that leaps to life when you drop the hammer. This would be frame/fork/headset.

Not sure anyone is gonna bite, but I have 3 schwinns, all 53cm and all way to small for me. 1 world sport, 1 sprint, and 1 that looks like it's been painted 5 times. The two known frames are frame/fork/headset/ and if you want, bb. They are straight, no dents but the paint and decals are on the rough side. I'd swap one or all for anything in the 63cm range, preferable frame/fork but Not req'd. Also in the market for a small(48ish) step thru, I have a nice complete collegiate and a motobecane mixte(52cm)

I might be interested in the world, I'll have to see what framesets are left in the bin though.

UPDATE: BIKE IS GONE

I have what appears to be a 60cm 1992 Trek 1200 (about 23.5" with 34.0" standover). It's way too big for me. I had the guy I got it from measure it before I drove 3 hours through traffic to pick it up, and found that it was way bigger when I got there. It's got a bonded aluminum frame and chromoly fork with a complete Shimano 105 Group (except an Ultegra front wheel hub), downtube 7-speed index shifters, single pivot sidepull brakes, and 7-speed freewheel with matching Matrix rims. Missing the headbadge.

I'd like to trade the 60cm frame and fork with headset and bottom bracket for a 1990 or newer 54cm Trek frame and fork with headset and bottom bracket. The sweet spot would be a 1995-1998 1220, 1420, or 2300, but any other 54cm Trek would be considered.

Will also consider trading the complete bike (tires and tubes are shot and will not be included) for a complete 54cm Trek from 1990 or newer. Will also consider other offers (54cm Paramount Series Bike?).

Photos available if you supply your direct email address by PM.

This frame is 56.5 x 56.5 CTC. Ideally looking for another Colnago at 55 x 55 CTC. Or similar maker that size.

Everything is straight. Lots of patina. No dents. Treated with frame saver and touched up. Was going to be my perfect "everyday don't have to worry about scratches hot Italian" but it is just a bit too large for me to really enjoys as I should. Frame and fork only or I can throw in the brooks pictured below if the trade requires it.

I have a small Lotus Mixte frame available, but one of the linear stays is could use a spot braze at the rear dropout.

...Sacramento to Merced, total driving time about 4.5 hours round trip. Advertised size 23", actual size 21".......the nicest, oldest Paramount I've ever seen. I feel your pain.
