I am looking for a mid range frame with horizontal drop outs. Fender/rack mounts are a huge plus. I prefer steel but aluminum is okay too. I am not looking for pretty.

In regard to size, a medium / 54 - 56 cm.

26" or 700c wheel size. 27" is okay too.

I have two frames for trade plus an assortment of other bits. Let me know what you're looking for.

Frame held hostage

I have a 1981 57cm Centurion Pro Tour frame
The one with brazed on centerpull studs, internal generator wiring, beautiful chrome, hand pinstriping, vertical dropouts.

Looking for ~60cm in an even trade. If this were in my size, I'd keep it.

Please try to forgive my stupidity, but I do not understand how to use this thread. Can you help me understand how to do it?

As titled, it holds great promise but the fact is, I have been in here many times and cannot successfully navigate it to find anything useful.

I thought the spreadsheet on page 1 was great and expected, perhaps foolishly, that it would be the repository for all frames and would be updated as new ones came into the thread.

Generally, only the last couple pages have frames that are still available. The tread has been going on for so long, that anything older has probably been passed on in one way or another. Although, if you find something interesting in an old post, it doesn't hurt to PM the owner to see if it still around. On the other hand, if you have something to trade, put it in a post along with what you are looking for, and sit back and wait.

someone sent me a message about a trek 520 that I was trying to trade. I'm too new to respond so I thought you might see this message. I just sold the frame, sorry about that. Good luck!

Looking to trade my 1984 raleigh supercourse frame. I'm pretty sure it's 58cm and it's to big for me. The paint looks pretty good, theres a few paint chips, the chrome has some pitting going on, no dings or dents. I'm a 5'5"-5'6" rider looking for somthing 52-54

Pics here: Mobile Uploads by xRyan | Photobucket
Also intrested in other trades (700c wheel set)

1998 GT Forte TI 60cm bike, need 58cm TI frame or bike

I have a 1998 GT Forte titanium that is a 60cm frame with a Profile SC carbon fork. The bike is just too big for me. I am looking for another quality titanium frame that is more in the 58cm size range. Right now this is a complete bike, not just a frame. It has Ultegra group on it, ControlTech handle bar stem and a king headset, Mavic Cosmos wheelset, and an older scuffed up Avoset O2 seat. It is a great riding bike and shifters and brakes work nicely.

25" Fuji S12-S LTD sports tourer. Double butted main triangle. Will trade for parts, 23" frame, or what have you if you're interested. Paint has usual signs of age and use, but pretty good overall. For some reason the chrome on the right rear dropouts did not hold up like the rest. More photos upon request.

Looking to trade my Legnano Gran Premio (60's~ uncertain) TT: 56cm ST: 56.5cm. I have a feeling it's too small for me. I feel much more comfortable thinking if i am riding a 58 instead.

I am based in Singapore but I will be in Paris this fall. So if any interest by the end of the month, I will bring the bike/frame with me.

Cheers

Sorry I have not been on here in a while. I am effectively working three jobs at the time. What I have has changed since posting that original message. I am interested in the Legnano, if it is still available. I have not ever owned one but have wanted one for a very long time.

Just posted a Raleigh Competition GS into the spreadsheet. I think it's a 58x55 (will measure again) with a 33" standover on 700x28c.

Gugie - please take a look, LMK

As seen on CL Minneapolis for pics, will post more tomorrow.

Looking for a 57ishx55ish with no more than a 32" SO, good quality paint.

I'm down to one giant frame, 67cm Univega that has been powder coated. I think it would make a good upright bike for a tall person, because the top tube is very short, 58cm. It's standard tubing and a little heavy, so it's not a performance bike by any stretch. I just gave my '85 rockhopper to my son to ride around campus, so I need a ~17" mtb frame for 26" tires. But I would be willing to give someone the univega if someone sends me a shipping label.

I have a near mint 18" Univega Alpina Uno frame I'd like to trade if there's any interest in it, unfortunately it's way too small for me. It's (I think) an '88, and is the black chrome model, made from triple butted cromoly. Tange I think. Has it's original 3 spoke chainstay protector and is in beautiful condition. I can post some pics of there's any interest in it. Thanks.
