48-49cm raleigh usa frame
 

Looking in the saint louis area (Maryland Hts specifically) Have a small 502 cro moly raleigh usa-83 I believe. One step up from hi-ten anyway. Looking to trade it off for a pair of 700c/30 or 32 tires and an avocet wii saddle. Has the horizontal do's good for a ss conversion. Brakes and suntour ar friction shift work. Want to get a 60cm frame to replace the 64cm frame of a 1980 Panasonic Sport Deluxe.

Strength is the prime requirement. A "touring frame" is recommended. The Trek 520, for one, or Panasonic's Sport Deluxe or Sport. 27x1.25 tire setup much preferred if there are forks.

Plan is to swap out this amazingly strong, overbuilt Sport Deluxe frame with a different frame. Then disassemble, cut it down, and rebraze the joints with recycled lugs. But I need that 60cm frame first.

Sure thing, 58cm works A.O.K. I want to ride the smaller frame for a while with the same equipment -- give me an idea how small to make it with cutting the 64cm frame.

I have a Redline Mono-cog frame with complete CK headset. Fit's 26" wheels and has disc brake mounts. 19" Frame.

condition of both is well used average with all sorts of routine scratches in paint and if look closely, probably very small areas of minimal surface rust in scratches

want; similar frames in 56cm. not 54 or 53.3

would also consider a used modern steel frame such as
surly crosscheck or lht in 56 only

This frame is not in showroom condition by any means, but definitely a rider - there are no structural problems with the frame, just cosmetics. It was my go-to road bike for three years. I got a modern carbon bike last year, and since then this frame has just been sitting. I got the frame in upstate New York from its original owner, who was a racer and bike shop owner back in the 80's, apparently this was the bike that his entire team rode back then.

Would like to trade for a nice road or track bike/frame, preferably Italian and preferably vintage. Size 55-56. Also have some French parts that go well with the frame that I could include, depending on trade:
*Stronglight Delta headset, screened on logos are gone.
*Mavic 610 BB
*Mavic 500/550 hubset with Mavic skewers. Believe 32 hole for both.
*Mavic front derailleur, clamp on, 28.6. Some call this an SSC derailleur, not sure that is technically correct.

I would love to find another Schwinn Tempo Frame for a spare. The Tempo I ride has some bad areas - and I do not know how long it will last. I would love to move components when the time comes. 23" or 25".

Oops, specifics would help wouldn't they, sorry! Really any nice midgrade or well-used high end would do, Japanese, Italian, or anything inbetween. I'm just looking for a bike that is nice enough that I can enjoy riding it but wont be too afraid about locking up and leaving for a bit.

I have decided to part ways with the 1986 Nashbar Terra XT frame and fork, the bike is a very nice copy of a Specialized Stumpjumper. The frame and fork are straight gauge CrMo tubing, both the frame and fork have lugged construction, and the red with gold metal flake paint is in very good condition. The frame will come with the Tange Levin MT-225 "Sealed Mechanism" headset and Shimano square taper bottom bracket, both are very smooth and spin freely. I'm also included the SR Laprade seatpost and Suzue quick release seatpost clamp. The link above will take you to a thread I started when I was seeking info about the year and general info about the bike. This bike sat unused in a garage for most of its life, as a result it is in very nice cosmetic condition and would make a wonderful commuter, excellent trail bike, or with its long horizontal dropouts could be built up into a great singlespeed.

I'm not looking for anything in particular, I already have a number of frames and other projects going, so a parts trade would be ideal but I'm not ruling out anything. I'd love to see this well made Japanese frame and fork get put to use, the early 80's geometry and the three (3) water bottle mounts lend itself to a nice commuter build but the frame and fork only have single threaded eyelets (threaded rack mount eyelets too) so a long distance touring bike might be a challence. Please feel free to questions, I'm happy to help out, and thanks in advance for any offers.

p.s. I also have the Shimano XT BioPace triple crankset for trade with the frame or separately, the teeth are in great condition since this bike sat unused in a garage. The crank is filthy in the photos but I will be cleaning it this weekend, so don't be discouraged the the grease and grime, it will be cleaned and looking great! Thanks!

I have a dark metallic burgundy/red 1991 Casati road frameset (Gold Line S), 56.5 top tube and 55 seat tube c-c. A little too tall and definitely too long for me.

I have a Silver/Blue Schwinn Voyageur SP frame with no fork, 27" size. Too big for me. Need a Schwinn Tempo fork for a 25 inch frame. The SP is the Colombus SP tubing. Has a .833/21.1 steerer.

I have a 1980 Schwinn Varsity, and I like riding it a lot. The frame is way too big, and I am wondering if anyone would have a smaller frame for this bike, or what my options really are. I live in Nebraska, and everyone here thinks that their Schwinn frame is worth 165 at least, so this has been an exhausting exercise. Thanks for starting a thread for this, it's a great way to look for help.

Seattle Area:

On the hunt for large (61-63cm) frame for a friend. Have lots of potential frames / bikes to trade. Have a donor bike with full ultegra that I plan on using on the large frame when I find one. Would prefer steel, aluminum okay too -- titanium probably a bit much.

Possible bikes / frames to trade:

The current donor bike frame is a 58cm CAAD3 R1000. Bright orange looks brand new. Maybe a couple tiny nicks down around the BB. Slice carbon fork, full ultegra (that I plan on using, unless something comparable can be had on a large complete bike).

Trek composite 57/58 cm 2200. Full shimano 105. My current daily, everything in good working order / recently tuned. Aluminum fork, and stays, carbon composite tubes. Good riding bicycle, unique but I'm not married to it.

61 cm 1987 cannondale. Fully converted to modern components (ultegra). Paint fully stripped -- bare aluminum. Both carbon and steel fork. One dent on the top tube (thousands of miles have been ridden since the dent). This is a cool bike, turns lots of heads. Classic Cannondale, big tubes... super light, super stiff. Carbon fork + custom piece for the back brake bridge have converted it to fit 700c wheels. Has eyelets for fenders / racks too!

Bike boom steel.. Late 1960's early 1970s "Hermes" headbadge ~ 55 cm bike. Decal denotes "Hand made italian". Nice color, good paint. I could give it a whole lot of TLC but I won't until there is a use for it. Sat for a long time, most components are probably shot / need rebuilding. I would think of it as a frame. Could not find much info on these bikes. The headbadge is really cool though if you collect those.

Would prefer to deal locally... just want to get this bike built for my abnormally tall friend!

Pictures of anything upon request / I will post when I have a chance. Trade or looking to buy a big frame. Big Frame would hopefully be compatible with 700c wheels. I am willing to coldset steel to fit a cassette if necessary.
