"There's way too many saddles on the market." --Road Fan
And too many good designs done away with for the sake of change? Brad |
for example the Avocets? or what? Certainly not the Agdas!
A lot of good ones fell by the wayside, for example Ideale. But that was business, not "for the sake of change." Brooks nearly went the same way. |
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, I think I am going to give a look at the WTB saddles first before I decide on the B72 or B67. I will most likely be riding on a Brooks though come spring.

I haven't had a lot of experience on different types of saddles, but i recently picked up my first heavy duty touring bike, 85 Raleigh Alyeska, and it has a San Marco saddle on it. Is anyone familiar with these? It has a similar look and feel to the Avocet touring model so i assume the ride might be similar. Just wondering if i should upgrade to another saddle such as a Avocet. My current one starts to get a little uncomfortable after about half a day but i might just need more time in it. I'm not sure if i'm ready to go the leather route.
Any thoughts would be appreciated on the San Marco saddle. |

Anyone got any suggestions? I'm thinking about the Brooks B67, although I used an old Adga leather saddle all summer and didn't much like the feel of it, so does anyone have some non-leather touring saddles they prefer that feel good after 60-70 miles?
