Help me identify this Colnago

OK, so I've been hunting for Celeste Bianchi in my size and getting nowhere. But out of the clear blue sky this Colnago falls in my lap.

...and here I thought it was tough nailing down my beloved Peugeot bikes - it turns out that Colnago information is nearly as convoluted! I haven't located a serial number (yet); I'm presuming from the fade that it's an early 80's frame; it's constructed from Columbus SL; internal top tube cable routing. Don't know a whole lot more - the photos below tell some of the rest of the story.

I'm hoping someone from the Colnago cognescenti out there can identify this one, perhaps advise me of the approximate year and the model.

Thanks for any insight.

Looks like a "Super Sprint" from the late 80's/early 90's.

Buy it off Craigslist? I offered the seller $250 a month ago and he agreed but he never delivered it to my business as we had agreed. I told him that it seemed like he was reluctant and he then said that someone had offered more so I said go for it. It then shows up a week or two later on Ebay and doesn't sell, then reappears on CL. I would have driven out to Independence but I wasn't terribly desperate for another bike.

One concern that I had was the Cromor tubing. It's a seamed tubing and a bit heavier than actual SL. Should build up to a pretty bike for you!

Greg, yes, this is the same one. I played phone/text tag with the guy for a week; I kind of think he was looking for an excuse not to sell. Said he had car problems and needed to sell for repairs, but he drove out to meet me in a car that appeared to be functioning, and I sort of think that was a ruse to keep the negotiations to a minimum. I did not pay the asking price though!

I had the same concern about the Cromor myself, but what the heck, I've got a couple of very lightweight steel rides and a couple that weigh more than a water buffalo: this one will fit in the middle of the pack.

Picchio Special, thanks, I was thinking Super Sprint too. Colnago is outside my realm of experience so I'm relying on the expertise of folks from C&V to help set me straight.

I'm not so sure about that tubing being "Cromor", the seamed set...it's a little ambiguous. According to the chart that describes tubing from this era, the one for CROMOR (with no SL present) does not say "cyclex" and has a silver background, not gold. I have a feeling that this one with the Colnago added on bottom might indicate a mixed set just for Ernesto: maybe main tubes of genuine SL and the stays/blades from Cromor.

This makes good sense to me.
