Steel On The Inside

In keeping with my continuing attempts to
lighten things up around here (life of the
party and all that) a link to You Tube that
I think just barely qualifies as C+V.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hmnHJwAci0

Certainly it qualifies as hilarious.:roflmao2:

3speed 01-14-11 01:43 PM

Haha, I just appreciate the Madison part of it. I know exactly where a lot of the spots in this video are located. She could use a little more attitude and to be louder, but I give them credit. It was fun enough to watch.

love2pedal.com 01-14-11 01:51 PM

Sorry, but it put me to sleep

PDXaero 01-14-11 02:17 PM

Couldnt watch more than 40 seconds...
thats just terrible.

Exactly:p

Somehow hovering on the thin line between
terrible and wonderful. Terribly wonderful?
Wonderfully terrible? Oh, to be young again.

noglider 01-14-11 02:31 PM

Oh come on. I loved it. Anything that says that girls on bikes are hip is good with me. Check out Fixed Gear Girl Form Taiwan.

MalcolmsFrejus 01-14-11 02:42 PM

You know, I've been a member here for a long time and rarely post much.
I try to be helpful and contribute when I do but most of the time I just lurk and enjoy what I find.
That was not enjoyable.
It made me uncomfortable while watching it.
I'll never get that time back.
The only redeeming factor to the whole debacle is that I'm no longer thinking about shorty fenders.

noglider 01-14-11 02:52 PM

Check out some videos on "Scraper Bikes."

531phile 01-14-11 03:02 PM

How did I know it was going to be a spoof on that silly song.

lotek 01-14-11 03:05 PM

42 seconds into it I bailed.

lighten up?
y'all haven't spent much time here. .

edit:
well, I may have misread that, like that could happen.
my title was Jocular Buffoon before forum admin. . .

okay, video still sucked atmo .

Here is a response I got on an early thread
asking for ID help on a Stella:

It's very bad form to post pictures of the non-drive side.
Honest to god, I couldn't make that up.

.

Tyranny. Rise up with me and man the barricades.

okay, video still sucked atmo
How can I dispute the obvious?:D

Yes you are

Then it wasn't a complete waste.

3alarmer, it really is bad form to post non-drive side photos. For real. No, seriously.

I didn't even get that far, I stopped at the 0:28 mark, about the third word out of her mouth, decided it was too much like rap, which I have always thought should have the letter c directly to it's left....

Muttleyone 01-14-11 04:25 PM

Not one set of shorties in the whole video. It's funny I just happen to be in Madison tonight next to the capitol building, too funny.

Mutt

KonAaron Snake 01-14-11 04:31 PM

I made it 3 and half minutes because I liked the girl...she seemed fun. The song itself...I'm sure it's a great parody, but it's a parody of an unlistenable song.

Yep, I am.

Good for a laugh but it went on too long and I lost interest.

I agree with Tom about enjoying it because it promotes girls (or anybody for that matter) riding bikes.

However I dislike the video because it made me search the Ice Cream Paintjob song it was parodying. Now THAT song is a waste of time.

cudak888 01-14-11 05:32 PM

Parody, schmarody - whoever filmed and edited this tripe is wasting their otherwise good talents on a sexist piece of rubbish. What's up with the amateur sound engineer, for that matter?

I'm not sure where you got sexist...it struck me more as some college girls showing off and having fun.

It's a Youtube video...sound engineer?

All right, it's the perfect video for sex-starved, college fraternity guys. Seriously, it comes off as something that belongs in this section of the Airplane! magazine stand:

No class, no taste, just trash - that's what it is. Thankfully, the mere sight of those Brett Somers-worthy sunglasses on the lead "singer" ought to put a damper on those frat parties :roflmao:

Someone obviously put a lot of time into filming this video with an HD camera or cameras. It looks as if a steadycam might have been involved as well. At that rate, don't you think they could have at least put the same effort into recording that woman's voice better? Perhaps add a bit of level compression?

-Kurt

thenomad 01-14-11 06:09 PM

That girl killed it, and not in a good way. Her voice sucked, she sounded like she was trying to record it in a library and not get caught. She should have started wil'in out on it to give it punch.

But hey, they had fun on bikes, isn't that what we're here for too?

Madison... Wisconsin? Oh, that explains the lack of tan!

I think you're being a bit puritanical on this one. I saw a couple girls having fun and showing off. Probably film students...or friendly with film students. I assure you that's not what sex starved frat guys are watching. As far as the film standards, I'm no expert but it looked like an amateur youtube video to me...similar in production quality to countless other amateur youtube videos.

noglider 01-14-11 06:32 PM

OK, I admit it, I like to look at young women. But I just look. I don't touch.

This video's soundtrack is not safe for work (NSFW) nor is it family friendly. Watch the video with the sound off.

That too. Just the same, boosting a bit of base EQ could have at least improved the recording.

Showing off? Showing off what? Somehow, provocative dancing and bicycle riding in miniskirts does not insinuate innocence. Mind you, I've caught members of the FIU student body oogling much less in classrooms when I've popped in early, and not necessarily freshmen. Yes, I do believe that most of our youth today need to get a life.

You want amateur? This is an amateur YouTube video:
