Anybody know anything about this frame?

I can not find any information about this frame. I am considering purchasing it.

Select

Columbus tubing, campy dropouts, top tube is 56 cm center to center, seat tube is 56 cm center to center, rear wheel spacing: 125 mm, Stem: 27,2 mm, bottom bracket: 70 mm (Italian 36 x 24)
Does anybody have information about Select?

Looks like a good quality Italian-built frame from the '80s made by one of the big contract-builders (I'd guess somebody like BMZ or Billato) for a shop in Germany (decals say something like Hartsieger ___meister). Too bad the chrome on the fork looks pretty deeply rusted, and a bit of rust bubbling on the lower headlug. I'd try a good soak in oxalic acid before any other attempts at restoring.

The word at the top of the decal is RUNDFAHRTSIEGER, the one at the bottom is STAATSMEISTER.

No I did not buy the frame....came close but could not pull the trigger and was quite re leaved when it sold.

realestvin7 you posted that in the CL/eBay thread are you looking for this. That forum is a double edge knife. Sometimes you find some thing you want to share but other times you see some thing on that thread that you wish the whole forum did not know about.

Yeah, I remember it well. I was just curious why you chose my quote. That thread is great, but sucks just as much. Haha.
