Reynolds Solitude wheels - Anyone ever use these?

I'm looking for a nice semi-aero wheelset for my 90's (1989 to be exact) aluminum Schwinn 754 build. The bike co-op can order a set of these for me pretty cheap (~$350). I haven't found much info online, but many people complain of broken spokes, noisy hubs and bad customer service. I originally was going to buy the Soul S3.0's (basically an identical build) for only a little more at $380, but saving some money would be great.

Reynolds': https://www.reynoldscycling.com/index...em&p_itm_pk=14

Soul's: https://www.bikesoul.com/2009/index.p...id=3&Itemid=11

Can anyone attest to the Reynolds'? They seem like a decent wheel and are just what I'm looking for. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

How about Kinlin XR-270s or 300s laced to Miche or Velocity hubs? Lace 'em up with CX-Rays.

~$335-375

Ehhh + the money it costs for someone to build em.

I'd honestly just rather pick up a set of already built wheels.

Understood...I assumed when you mentioned a co-op you might have wheel building help.

You should try the Planet X Model B. I have these on two bikes and have put a lot of miles on them and really like them. They are most likely kinlin rims. 1653 (I weighed them at 1668) grams for the set. They are aero, light (for the price) and the hubs spin super smooth. So If you can handle the extra 3.5 oz (if the other weights are accurate) these we be worth a try. For the $150ish you save you could make up the weight somewhere else.

You can get them for less than $200 shipped. They come in both shimano/sram and campy.

I've been looking into some clinchers to use as back up wheels to the tubulars on my gazelle. After a lot of looking I've come to the Planet x Model B's. They don't get nearly as many bad reviews as other wheels I've looked into, even into the 300 range.

I think the Reynolds are a bit of a no-brainer. They even use a standard spoke design, generally, means they can be repaired. The Planet X wheels Jake posted look like a very attractive alternative, however.
