Damn, the delivery guy must have driven through the night to get there. The nice thing is.. he has a week to get it to you on the scheduled delivery date.

Well, the frame arrived today!!!!
If you count travel since I've owned it, which would be when PDXAero paid for it in Portlan, here's the route. Frame has done ~9100 miles without me! Maybe I can get that much on it?!

Well sir, in my mind's eye and from as well as I can remember the pearl of the original paint (trying to photograph it would be folly) I HAVE to imagine that if this isn't what it looked like new I'd be shocked. I think the pearl is perfect. The temperature of the white just right.
Here it is with it's first wheelset mounted up, the DA7700/Mavic Reflex clincher wheels I got at the co-op a couple of weeks ago. The rims are gray in color and although they were anodized all over the brake tracks are pretty evenly worn. The machining is still crisp everywhere! I'll probably work them a bit to get the brake tracks completely clean.
Left to get, stem and headset. I'll be a downer, I didn't want to get them until the frame showed up from it's sojurn safely
Anyway, the quick pic before dinner (sorry about the gray card, I wanted to get the white at least correct on my side):

I literally gasped. That frame is stunning, and I've no doubt your build will do it justice.
Btw, I fully expect you to have doubled that mileage by August.

Well, got the frame back from the LBS today after the chase and face and started to build 'er up...couple quick pics. I think I have a tweaked RD hangar due to some indexing issues but that's easily remedied (and I should have had the LBS check that today!!! :notamused).

Sweet!
Did I see that you sold the [stike]pink bike[/strike] Tiara? <<sniff>> That was a nice bike as well, but this thing is really sweet. Great job, and can't wait to see the complete thing!

Yes Pars, I did. With this the Tiara was totally redundant....same size and exactly the same geometry. And I needed stable space Yes, I was VERY sad to see it go but the buyer was a student at the U of M. When he walked up and saw the bike in person his exact words were , "That's just wicked!". Made me feel good

I don't know, I waffle. If I had a 26.0 stem 90-100mm I'd certainly give the crit bars a go. Hmmm...maybe gomango has a stem I might borrow for a bit?

.....
Ahem. I've kinda decided not to use them My goal here is to have a rideable bike. I look back and the Tiara has been the best go-fast bike I've had from a fit standpoint. I really liked the SR Modolo anatomic bars I had on the Tiara. I played around withe the crit bars and I just don't think I'll be able to get comfortable on them. ....

In any case let's get this bike on the road!

i love this build. it gives me bad thoughts about getting my yokota back together though...
what is the plan for bar tape and cable housing? i vote black on both accounts. keep it classy. (though i have no doubts about your ability to make her look great)
I also recommend iris king cages. i think they will complement the updated drivetrain without looking out of place on the frame. i rcently threw one on my bianchi cx bike and couldnt be happier with it.

Yep, black and black unless I can find a red/yellow/blue splash tape. White is also a consideration. Once I get a pic with the bars and levers installed I'll Photoshop up a couple options and decide. I still have some white Shimano hoods too
Cage(s) are still a thought. I'll check those. I was also thinking the King Ti cages might be understated, yet appropriate for the rest of the build.
Thanks!
