Help me ID these old Campy brakes?
 

Hey guys,

Not sure if this is the right section to post this, so apologies in advance if there's somewhere else specific I need to move it.

I just took a punt on these Campy brakes on eBay for 30 bucks. The seller was unsure of the model, as there are no markings. I just need a half-decent set to stick on an old frame, so I'm not too interested in pedigree. Campagnolo for 30 can't be too bad, right? :twitchy:

First gen Record dual pivots. Around 93. $30 is a great deal.

Great stuff! They look clean enough and seller seems genuine. He guessed Record, but didn't wanna swear to it without proof. Full disclosure though, it was 40 with postage! Think I'll be happy with them anyway. Thanks Abarth.

Most cyclists think 4 or 5 years is old for components so I think it's fair to say 18 years is old. Not vintage but old.

Nice brakes btw. Can I have your barrel adjusters? Pretty please ; )

Ha! Well BG, I was nine when they were made, so to me that seems like a long time ago!

They look in good nick though, so how about I go with a favourite word of car dealers everywhere and drop old for "nuesed"?

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd put these here and see if I can hack into any more of the forum's encyclopedic knowledge of campagnolo. While wrapping up the purchase above, I put a speculative bid on these levers, again, from a seller who did not exactly know what model they were. Apparently, they came from a 70s supercorsa. I think they're slick, and they're paid for an' all so I'm not trying to value them, it'd just be nice to know the model/year. Thoughts?

Early 80s Super Record levers ? They use non-aero cables.

Also, aren't those calipers newer than 93 ? Didn't the earlier ones have the exposed bolt ? (I'm fuzzy on all this stuff now)

Not as fuzzy as I am, homebrew! Thanks for the levers. Seller said 70s, but it's close enough. They didn't cost much and should look pretty ****** on me bike.
