School me on 80's Jamis Roadies
I've been watching this frame on the Bay. It shares a lot of characteristics with other 80's Japanese and Taiwanese built frames. Can anybody shed some light on what tube set this might be? Google appears to be worthless for this specific search.

1988 Jamis Quest, Tange Infinity throughout, frame ~5.5 lbs., fork ~ 2lbs. OEM components were SunTour Alpha 5000 derailleurs, Shimano FC-B126 crankset, Dia-Compe Alpha 5000 brakes, Suzue hubs laced to Araya 700c SS-45 rims. Weight approx. 25 lbs,. Original price $450.

I had a Quest that was made of 631. It was labeled as such. At the time, it was their 2nd level steel bike, with the Eclipse being 853. AFAIK, Jamis has always had a quality product. I think you could be reasonably sure that the bike on ebay is pretty decent steel, better than the lower models. Edit- I see T Mar has the definitive answer.

I wouldn't venture a guess without having the serial number. By this time most entry and lower mid-range manufacturing had moved from Japan to Taiwan.
