well since this thread was revived I guess I get to post again? I came about reviving my bike buying/collecting bug by accident a few years ago. I was offered out of the blue a chance to buy a second Proto with MAX tubing and I jumped right on it.
funny thing is another member here used to own the bike aswell, and the serial number is about 5 away from my original. here it is as I got it but I made a few changes such as Campi cranks and brakes, different stem and seatpost (the carbon was cracked!)

That is a very beautiful color, and I especially noticed the WTB saddle. Is that a Pure V by chance? I’ve been beating the drum for the Pure V as a comfortable option for those with boney rear ends, such as myself., for some time. Yours seem to have a lean to it. Have you seen a doctor about your asymmetrical backside?

hi, rothenfield, i don't think it's pure v, i don't ride this bike often, so it's so far so good for me.

Just found this thread. I'm going blind from over-exposure to all the awesomeness! (Kung Fu Panda) I've got 3 Bianchis but I've already posted two on the site and the third I need to get decent pictures of.

Ah, to have loved and lost:

While I don't regret the sale, I do miss her from time to time. I prefer riders, and she was a looker.

Can you fit 25's on yours when I replaced the orig specialized turbos with some pasela's in 25 I scraped off the paint on the down tube. :-(
Any more from that line of frames out there? EL anyone?
Edit: Yes the stem is high. Normally I ride 63 ctc with no seat to stem drop but I wanted to look like a real racer so I sized down and slowly lowered the stem. The extra long top tube makes it possible for me to actually ride the sexy beast.

Here is my late 80's Bianchi Grizzly, outfitted with brown quick brick tires and brown Oury grips, and some awesome primal skeletal brake levers, and a Marco Pantani Celeste saddle.

Here's my 1991 Bianchi Ibex with a bunch of upgrades. Always had road bikes before this one and I love riding it!

Great looking Bianchis. how did you scrape paint off the downtube by putting bigger/fatter tires on?
Nice Grizzly,

This is very cool too, the decals were a bit much but some of the color combos were great in those days.

my lynx
my 2003 lynx is a utility/work/pleasure bike.
it now has a gps mount on the handlebar to a) get me
lost, and b) to confirm i am lost. works VERY well for that!
i'm told it looks like a radar gun and to be sure to not get shot by irate motorists!
