Another clue to the era was the rear derailleur cable along the top tube and down the back of the seat tube to a top pull front derailleur. Shimano introduced top pull derailleurs for the 1992 model year. Prior to that, to get top tube cable routing for the front derailleur, you had to run it down the seat tube and around a pulley below the front derailleur, so that the cable approached the front derailleur from the bottom.
Bianchi did tend to retain lugs for longer than other companies. I believe it was just part of the old school, European mindset. The USA ATB models were being designed in California so you'd think they would have gone to TIG welding but it was likely vetoed by the head office in Italy. I don't believe the Peregrine rec'd TIG welding until circa 1997.
FYI, the 1993 Bianchi Peregrine was 4th in a line of 8 ATB models and had an MSRP of $810 US. Enjoy your new acquisition!

I was bit by the Bianchi bug again...but this time i didn't want a Celeste one.
Found a Metallic Yellow. I think its a year 2000 Campione. Was fitted with a lot of Record and Chorus parts and an carbon fork....even a carbon Campy seatpost.
Still some small changes I will make, but here it is after its initial cleaning, lubing and removing superfluous 2 pounds of accessories.

Not my bikes, but here are some vintage Bianchis that I have worked on.
This bike is owned by a friend of my mom who wanted to me to put new tires on it t and adjust the derailleurs.

I built these 2 for a kid's charity.

I have what I think is an 87 915 Rekord, and I'm looking for some nice pictures of certain decals. Anyone?

Fairlane63 That is a beautiful Vittoria. The Mediterranean Blue really stands out in the sunny daylight. Personally though I think a tan or 'skinwall' tire would look much better on it.

Good Morning. Wonder why no one responded? Well anyway, there are no Record models showing in the US catalogs. Tell us more about it or post some pics. If it has a mix of Campi and various other Italian bits, Ofmega, GipMe, Modolo I suspect it might be an Allor or Nuovo Racing. Is there a tubing decal?

Mine is missing the record 915 and the columbus fork decals.
Look how absolutely beautiful this is. I could stare at it for hours.

I suspect you have an '85 Vittoria model like the beautiful blue one being discussed. However this would depend whether you have the chromed chainstay and what type of tubing you bike has. Bianchi Special tubing and chromed stay would indicate '85 and Formula 1 and no chrome would be '86

Beautiful Vittoria. There was one of those hanging in a shop where I worked and I desperately wanted it but alas it was only a 57
