Picked up a early 90's (91 or so?) Taiwan lugged Bianchi Avenue hybrid. It's equipped with the lowest end (Shimano 100GS 3x7) stuff, but it's like new and no wear. Locknut BB, chrome seatpost, thumb shifters, disintegrating dork disk
It was $40, and all I need to do is cleanup, safety check the cables/tubes and overhaul (lube) the hubs.My body prefers the geometry of this style bike best, and I miss my 94 Specialized Crossroads. I'll post pics after the refresh later in the week.

Finally finished the Reparto Corse...
Going back to this one, turns out it was a scale issue! It's heavier than previously thought, no ridges near the bb, no chrome, Bianchi dropouts, so I'm going with maybe an SL, SP, Cromor or Thron frame. Nevertheless, it cleaned up beautifully, thanks to perfect match touchup from local builder and all around nice guy Jeffrey Bock. A couple of decals from Australia were the perfect match as well.
I built it up with my current favorite setup... 10v downtube shifters paired with empty Ergo brake levers. Delta brakes and SGR pedals and whatever silver 10v I have laying around! The tubular wheel set was used in Paris-Roubaix by the Liquigas team BITD but may be replaced with some Ambrosio blue clinchers for daily use.
For the empty Ergo's, I am trying to get the spacers for the Record TT brake levers modeled and 3D printed. These are unknown of by the Campy USA folks and may not have ever been a separate part. They fill the guts of the empty Ergo levers after you take out the shifting parts.
The cockpit breaks all of my rules, as it is an ITM stem paired to a Modolo bar with Cinelli cork tape! Talk about a trifecta! Again, whatever was laying around!
The saddle is one of many Aliante's from the Liquigas period. I made a trip to JoAnne's for some celeste ribbon and industrial grade cement, covered the wrong-shade of green and... we'll see if the edges rip apart my bibs or if it just melts the glue into a mucky mess! All for the fashion....

Bought for $100.
I made the gum covers for the flat levers.
I have not yet put on the better looking front chainring.
Bike path bike.
It did end up being a little more "manbunny" looking than I wanted, but it is fun.

Finished restoring this '84 Campione D'Italia about a month ago and have put about 200 miles on it so far training for Eroica California. Pretty much all stock except for new brake pads, tires, cables, housing and bar tape, a 13-28 freewheel, NOS Modolo brake hoods, and NOS Ale leather toe straps.

If you mean mine, it's a "Bianchi" SLX decal from Greg. It CAN'T not have a Columbus decal, even if I'm not sure which tube set it is! I'm not posting it as an SLX, and I don't plan on selling it, so until I die and it needs sold, no harm done IMHO.

Here's my 1987 Super Leggera. Everything is pretty much stock except for the brake levers and seatpost and saddle. Had an accident back in 1988 and the right crank and front rim had to be replaced. Continues to ride well. Truly a great bike.
After more than 30 years, it's due for a proper clean-up and maybe I'll put in some C Record non-aero brake levers, crankset and brakes. And maybe a Cinelli stem and handlebar to replace those Modolo's. I still have the white Bianchi saddle!

1998 Bianchi Grizzly Martini Racing
This is one of the few mountain bikes in the stable and by far the most expensive. I lusted over this for years in my brother-in-laws garage collecting dust until he finally let go. I added the red spin wheel because it was a quick fix and the rear wheel didn't have a tire on it. I would like to find some Geax celeste tires but that probably won't happen oh well.

That shows you how little your rep knew. While the exact origin of the cocktail is unknown, one of the most accredited stories is that it was named after the Italian vermouth brand, Martini, which was manufactured by the company Martini & Rossi, the eponymous sponsor of the various Martini Racing teams. So, those 1990s Bianchi shod squads are related to the cocktail.
