"For the discriminating". I'd not yet seen that slogan. Cool.

Yeah, I love that it came with the box. It's ALMOST flawless, there is a mark on the very top by the hanger bolt. The date code "RJ" on this works out to Oct 1975, the first year of production. At the time, I think it was their fanciest.

One for the Francophiles. I have no idea what model it is or when it was made, but it's nice to see a non-plastic Simplex once in a while.

Here's a pic of a hologram of a '72 Campy derailleur. First hologram I made and sold, to one of the owners of Wheelsmiths Bike Shop in Palo Alto, CA in '84. The derailleur is still in use on the '82 Gordon framed bike I've used since then for riding around Silicon Valley. I sold a few hundred of the 4x5" glass holograms throughout the '80s.

I have two of the best-looking derailleurs out there -- 1980 Campagnolo NR and late 1970s Suntour Cyclone II -- and one of the ugliest -- 1980 Campagnolo 980.

I have a NOS Suntour VX-GT with Red anodizing(?) surrounding "Suntour" on the main plate. I'll have to snap a photo of it when I get home.
