Next Beater Project! Cannondale Asphalt Assassin!

Just picked up another bike last night. It's not really vintage but it's outdated. It's some sort of Cannondale though I don't know what model. Doesn't really matter though, I just need something to ride. I am going to rebuild it Saturday for some riding next week. It will primarily be ridden at night in some group rides so it will be geared for participation with the NightKrawlers.

Here's all I know about it for know

Mid 90íS Cannondale Frame
Campagnolo Veloce Groupset
Colorado Cyclist Wheels
Wireless Nashbar Cyclocomputer

Looks awesome. I used to have a similar bike, but with 105. Fun fun ride.

You picked that up last night? That's a pretty fast turn-around; looks great, is that a rattlecan job or other?

Personally, I'd polish out the logos on all of the alloy parts, make it look stealthy.

Thursday night I think. It's actually done and stuffed in my trunk. Pictures tomorrow.

I'm lazy lol. Actually I need a new drive side crank, it is seized to the bottom bracket and stripped out.

Were those dents in the chain stay? Aren't Cc-Dales all Aluminum? Wouldn't want to trust a dented up alu bike.

The rust makes it look steely....aluminum oxidation is usually whitish in color.

Sigurdd50, Those dents are for crankarm clearance, perfectly normal.

What type of paint did you use? I recently picked up a can of black Rust-Oleum Truck Bed Coating ("Durable Abrasion Resistant") for my next all-weather commuter. Figured I'd compare notes.

Hahaha, nice negotiation tactic!

Wal-mart generic brand flat black. But I can tell you already that it is going to scratch easily. I will be repainting it in a week or so before I put any decals on it.

Alrighty, here it is. Mind the quality of the pictures I couldn't find my camera so I had to use my cell phone.
